"After a year going here, I am once again so impressed to take time to review again. Really is the best we have tried from all over Tauranga, yet from such a humble looking shop. Asked for fish&chips with salt&vinegar (UK style) they put just the right amount of vinegar. Ordered Hoki and Chips and was so delighted with it. Balance of salt+vinegar, crispy and light batter... Couldn't ask for more. Usually we get the the buffet but once again it's seems top marks for whatever we get from here. (Year ago) Just moved to the area so tried it. Really tasty food. Impressed enough to leave a review, to reassure others to try it. Doesn't look much from outside but good food and nice staff. Missed the lunch so hung around fr 3 30pm dinner menu, that offered more selection..Better than the 2 major dine in buffets in Tauranga, at this price... Cheaper also"

"After reading other reviews we bypassed our anniversary dinner at a restaurant and tried the takeaway. We both tried the smorgasbord, he enjoyed his while I found the rice bland and the sweet & sour pork bearable. The veges in the chop suey (chicken and pork) were nice, slightly overdone for my taste but not too shabby. The winner though were the chicken wings. Oh my what a score that was! Everyone needs chicken wings!!! Winner winner chicken wingding dinner These are not burnt just how I took the photo before devouring the rest."

"My Grandaughter & I are regular visitors. She loves the hotdogs & I really love the smorgasbord Chinese. Very tasty & satisfying. Polite as staff & I've never had to wait for long to get my order. Spotlessly clean. Plenty of seating & courteous clientele."

"Food is okay but not the standard it used to be. It's disappointing that the prices have gone up but the standard has gone down. However, probably still best value in town. Staff are friendly and helpful. Thank you for your reply. I fully understand prices going up. It's global. Quality going down however is not acceptable. Your smorgasbord used to be absolutely wonderful and delicious but has slipped to only ok. We're going with just a bad night and will still try again as we hope you will also to get back to great."
